• Tamarina Golf Club forms part of the first Estate Golf living in Mauritius.
• The project is 100% backed by the Medine Sugar Estate.
• Designed by international design company Wright Golf Design headed by Rodney Wright. Of international fame, Rodney has built courses in Africa, Asia, Japan, Philippines, Australia, USA and Mauritius.
• There are 5 different tees on every hole.
• Tamarina is situated in the Tamarin Bay/Flic en Flac area.

• Tamarina has standard 4 par 3’s and 4 par 5’s with remaining holes as par 4’s.
• From the Professional tees the course measures 6800 metres.
• Grass used on the greens is an Ultra Dwarf Bermuda grass called ‘Champion’. Used successfully in similar climates in Texas.
• Fairways and Tees is a Bermuda grass called Tif Green 328. This grass is still used elsewhere in the world on greens.
• Landscaping of holes done on contract with international team.
• Landscaping grasses include Fataque, Citronelle, Red Grass, Sikine, Vetiver and Lemon Grass.
• The golf course plays along side and crosses the Riviere Rempart.
• Holes have specially been designed to give you scenic views of Mount Rempart.
• Ocean views are from selective holes.
• The golf course is built on 43 hectares of land.
• The total land covers 220 hectares for the Estate.
• There is a state of the art ‘Rainbow’ irrigation system that has been installed.
• This irrigation system is backed and supplied by ‘Watertronics’ pump system.
• The site previously was a rocky outcrop which was a deer hunting chasse.
• The landscape, terrain and golf course will give you the feeling of African Savannah, set and carved amongst mature tree stands with the adjacent mountains giving a fantastic amphitheatre feel.
• Due to the climate and terrain, the preferred means of playing the course is with a golf cart.
• Over 6 km’s of concrete golf cart paths have been laid for your comfort and enjoyment.
• Fully air-conditioned clubhouse with Proshop, Changing room facilities, Restaurant, Bar, viewing balconies, Boutique and Bag storage is available.
• Guests will enter the estate thru the estate main gate, be ushered to the Welcome Centre from where they will be shuttled by golf carts to the clubhouse.
• A state of the art driving range with a qualified PGA Pro will be available.
• Tamarina offers an additional attraction of a Beach Club which is situated on the corner of Tamarina Bay and has Changing facilities, a restaurant, a bar and swimming pool.
• 119 exclusive villas will be part of the estate. These villas are mostly hidden from the course to add to their privacy and to complete the golfing ambiance.
• Refreshment cart service is available thru your round as the course has a no-stopping rule. Clean toilet facilities are available at the Pro Centre in case of emergency. This is situated midway between the 9th green and 10th tee.
• Starters and marshals will monitor play to make your round at Tamarina enjoyable for everyone.
• Due to the nature of the terrain on the shallow soil base on the site, Tamarina had to import and sieve over 200 000 cubic metres of soil to prepare the course correctly for grassing.
